Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) has been and continues to be used as a form of treatment for various mental health conditions. It is a non-invasive brain stimulation treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. McLean Hospital is at the forefront of the use and research of TMS. Specifically and more recently, Dr. Fernando Espi Forcen at McLean is playing a key role in the development of a new accelerated TMS program. Dr. Forcen, along with one or two TMS patients, will speak about this treatment and experiences. This promises to be an interesting, informative event.
