Speakers’ Series: Mental Health and Nutrition: The Mind-Body Connection

Come and learn about the relationship between mental health and nutrition, as well as this being a component of mental fitness. Mental fitness is impacted by various things such as devices, vices and substances, pollutants and toxins, ultra-processed food, and chronic stress. Depression and anxiety can be treated in various ways, and food is one of them. Brain health and mental fitness are critical components in dealing with mental health issues.

SPEAKER BIO

Drew Ramsey, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist, psychotherapist and author. His work focuses on evidence-based integrative psychiatry, Nutritional Psychiatry and male mental health. He founded the Brain Food Clinic, a digital mental health practice, and Spruce Mental Health in Jackson, Wyoming. Using the latest research along with decades of clinical experience, he hopes to help people improve their mental health and build resilient mental fitness. His latest book is Healing the Modern Brain: Nine Tenets To Build Mental Fitness and Revitalize Your Mind. Dr. Ramsey completed his specialty training in adult psychiatry at Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute, received an M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Earlham College.
