Research has shown that there are very real mental health effects from media overload. Come and learn more about how to address this issue as it affects those with mood disorders. Also learn about various methods to reduce this concern and how to deal with it in communication with others.
Bio of Kate Sitrin, LCSW
Kate Sitrin, LCSW, is currently a candidate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy with the Center for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis of New Jersey. Kate practices privately in Jersey City, and part-time with Callen-Lorde Community Health Center providing treatment to folks within the LGBTQ+ community. Individuals Kate has treated have ranged in age from their 20’s to 70’s.
She has experience working with people from diverse cultural, ethnic, and racial backgrounds. Kate practices with an anti-oppressive, anti-racist lens. Her practice is gender-affirming, queer-affirming, sex positive, and trauma-informed. Kate has worked with individuals living with depression, anxiety, PTSD, complex grief, racial trauma, gender dysphoria, and intimate partner violence.
