DESCRIPTION:“Psychiatry in Translation\,” R’el Rodriguez\, MD \nR’el Rodriguez is an inpatient psychiatrist at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. She completed medical school at Ross University School of Medicine\, residency at the University of Connecticut\, and a public psychiatry fellowship at New York University. \nShe is Mary Johnston’s oldest daughter and is currently unit chief of the Latino Unit at Bellevue\, director of the inpatient psychiatry after-hours service at Bellevue\, and director of the NYU Public Psychiatry Fellowship. \nShe will be discussing her experiences working with Spanish-speaking patients throughout her medical training and career.
