DESCRIPTION:Join us for a two-part series that covers these modalities and their core principles\, along with real-life examples of where and how they are used as tools for mental well-being. View recordings: Part One | Part Two \nThe first session will focus on descriptions of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)\, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)\, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)\, as well as how they are distinct and related to each other. Click here to watch a recording of Part One. \nThe second session will focus on where and how each of these can be applied to help address particular issues that arise in life\, with a comparative description of how each approach works best. Through relatable examples\, we will explore strategies for managing difficult thoughts\, regulating emotions\, and responding more effectively to life’s challenges. This portion emphasizes real-world application\, helping participants translate therapeutic concepts into meaningful\, actionable change. Click here to watch a recording of Part Two. \nSPEAKER BIO \nAna Trueba Yepez\, PhD\, is a clinical psychologist in the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry at McLean Hospital and an instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. She focuses on cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and the integration of mindfulness into treatment.
