It is with great sadness that we learned Abigail (Abby) Magee, long-time DBSA Boston member, has passed away. She participated in the Wednesday evening group at McLean Hospital before COVID-19.
Abby Magee of Cambridge, formerly of Belmont, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Springfield, MA to the late John Magee and Eleanor Trafford. Beloved mother of Rick Rock and his wife, Katherine, of Three Rivers, MA. Cherished grandmother of Ricci.
She is also survived by her loving nephews John Magee V, Christopher Magee and Damon Shylo as well as many close friends.
Abby was predeceased by her brother John Magee IV and her sister Cindy Magee
Abby was a graduate of Western New England University and Lesley College. She worked for many years at the Bosch Corporation, and most recently was a dedicated and proud employee of Trader Joe’s in Cambridge, where she rode her bike to work daily. She loved to travel the world and enjoyed helping others expand their mathematical minds.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
