We’re getting ready for this year’s NAMIWalk! We’re excited to invite you to be part of our team. Sign-ups are starting now, and we’d love for you to join us in walking for mental health awareness, connection, and change.

Our team, “We Are Believers,” was formed in memory of Deb Mann, a beloved DBSA Boston facilitator and Share Care member. Deb was instrumental in organizing past NAMIWalks teams, and her unexpected passing left a deep void in our community—especially in the women’s group she led with such care and compassion.After her passing, a member suggested we walk in her honor. That’s how “We Are Believers” was born—because Deb always believed in others, and we believed in her.

We are partnering with NAMI Central Middlesex and the shared funds raised support vital mental health programs, education, and advocacy. Funds also help DBSA Boston to offer free, inclusive events for our community (such as the upcoming DBSA 40th Anniversary celebration party this September!)

While we do encourage fundraising, that has never been our focus. What matters most is that we show up, together. This walk is about connection, support, and fighting the stigma that surrounds mental health – for ourselves, our families, and our wider community. Every dollar we do raise helps support vital mental health programs, education, and advocacy.

Walk day is always an incredible experience. We gather at our team table, connect with walkers from across the state, share our story, and learn from others. In the lead-up to the walk, we have the chance to bond, share support, and get inspired.
