Join us for a two-part series that covers these modalities and their core principles, along with real-life examples of where and how they are used as tools for mental well-being. The first session will focus on descriptions of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as how they are distinct and related to each other. The second session will focus on where and how each of these can be applied to help address particular issues that arise in life, with a comparative description of how each approach works best. Through relatable examples, we will explore strategies for managing difficult thoughts, regulating emotions, and responding more effectively to life’s challenges. This portion emphasizes real-world application, helping participants translate therapeutic concepts into meaningful, actionable change. |

“We Are Believers” Team 2026. DBSA Boston will be walking on Saturday, May 16, 2026 and all are welcome to join. It’s always a fun day and now that it is on the Boston Common, it’s easy to take the MBTA to the Boylston stop. Let’s show our support for all NAMI has done for us. They are out there protecting our rights, fighting stigma and so much more. |

Please join us in a conversation about aging and mental health. Three panelists will participate – Ana Trueba-Yepez, a mental health provider whose work focuses on the geriatric population; as well as two peers with lived experience – Judy Freedman and Dana-Zoe Gest, both from DBSA Boston. This event will focus on this topic from both professional and personal, real-life perspectives. |
