STARTING WEDNESDAY, JULY 24, 2024, DBSA Boston will hold in-person facilitated support groups in the de Marneffe Building cafeteria at McLean Hospital, 115 Mill St., Belmont, MA.
These replace our meetings in Waltham and Arlington.
Every Wednesday, starting July 24, one general group, and Maintaining Connections, will meet from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. ET, at McLean Hospital, 115 Mill St., Belmont, MA.
The DBSA Boston groups that met in Arlington will start meeting at McLean Hospital, 115 Mill St., Belmont, MA, beginning August 14, 2024.
- Every 2nd Wednesday of the month, Family and Friends will meet from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. ET. The first meeting at McLean will be Wednesday, August 14.
- Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, Young Adults will meet from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. ET. The first meeting at McLean will be Wednesday, August 21
As interest grows and we have more facilitators, we have room for more groups to meet at the same time.
Directions to the de Marneffe cafeteria at McLean Hospital
McLean Hospital is located at 115 Mill Street in Belmont, Massachusetts, west of Boston. McLean is accessible by the Massachusetts Turnpike, Route 128/95 or Route 2.
When you enter McLean:
- Proceed directly up the hill, following signs for all McLean traffic.
- Continue on, then turn left and left, following signs for the Oaks Parking lot.
- For handicapped parking, park in the Bowditch Lot, on your left, across from the Admissions building.
- Walk across the street. The yellow-brick de Marneffe building will be ahead of you—see image of the de Marneffe Building above.
- The DBSA Boston Welcome Table will be in the main hallway of the de Marneffe building.
- Turn down the main corridor. (Restrooms on your right.) The main seating area for the cafeteria is farther down the corridor, on your left. Meeting room 132 is straight ahead.
Here is a map of the McLean Campus, showing the de Marneffe building as number 8, and where free parking is available.

Erich Lindemann Mental Health Center
(aka. Massachusetts Dept. of Mental Health)
25 Staniford St, Boston, MA 02114
Thursday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The building is in Boston’s Government Center area, only 3 blocks from MGH and conveniently close to 4 different subway lines (Blue, Green, Red, Orange). Street parking is limited but possible and there are garages in the area. It is close to the TD Garden so be aware of game or event nights that will make parking more difficult.
Finding your way to the entrance of this building can be quite confusing and we recommend allowing extra time when going for the first time. This is a drop-in meeting so arriving late or leaving early is fine. When you search for the address it takes you to a small sign and passageway through the concrete building (see photo). Follow the path around to the left and then the main entrance will be on your left with automatic sliding glass doors. We usually put several signs up along the way.
If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or have any symptoms of being sick please stay home. We will be in the Boston Conference Room which is up one flight of stairs to the left of the security desk. There are also elevators, vending machines, and bathrooms.
