DBSA Boston – Downtown

The DBSA Boston Thursday night group that met in person at Massachusetts General Hospital (commonly referred to as the MGH Group) has resumed in-person meetings. It will still be awhile before MGH invites us back, but we have secured the use of a very large conference room at the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) and will be holding our weekly in-person meetings there at our normal time, 7-9 p.m.

Location:
Erich Lindemann Mental Health Center
(aka. Massachusetts Dept. of Mental Health)
25 Staniford St, Boston, MA 02114

The building is in Boston’s Government Center area, only 3 blocks from MGH and conveniently close to 4 different subway lines (Blue, Green, Red, Orange). Street parking is limited but possible and there are garages in the area. It is close to the TD Garden so be aware of game or event nights that will make parking more difficult.

Finding your way to the entrance of this building can be quite confusing and we recommend allowing extra time when going for the first time. This is a drop-in meeting so arriving late or leaving early is fine. When you search for the address it takes you to a small sign and passageway through the concrete building (see photo). Follow the path around to the left and then the main entrance will be on your left with automatic sliding glass doors. We usually put several signs up along the way.

If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or have any symptoms of being sick please stay home. We will be in the Boston Conference Room which is up one flight of stairs to the left of the security desk. There are also elevators, vending machines, and bathrooms.
